Meeting with Bill Fontana from PA Downtown Center was Great!

Our meeting with Bill Fontana from the Pennsylvania Downtown Center went really well. It was great to hear what his program can offer us in terms of training and support. We anticipate offering training in August and September for The Warren Main Street Board of Directors along with other non-profit board members who would like to attend. These trainings can be provided in two full days or four half days. We are leaning toward two full days during the week, most likely spread out over a couple of weeks. Bill will also come back to provide training to our committee members that is specific to their mission for our Main Street Program. These trainings are chosen from a list provided to each committee. So they can chose trainings that they believe will meet their needs the best. Our committees include: Organization, Promotion, Economic Development & Design. We are really excited to be moving forward with our Main Street Program through the work that we are doing with our first promotional event: "Liberty Rocks" a Street Music Festival to be held on Saturday the 2nd of July from Noon to 8 PM on Liberty Street in downtown Warren and through assisting with Rib Fest the Warren Main Street well established, this is the 8th year, fundraising event to be held at Betts Field July 20th through the 23rd.
